The present account from Kallar elephant corridor is a case-history which elucidates that delay in implementing management recommendations leads to unmanageable trends in land-use pattern, traffic intensity, human–elephant interface, and escalation of costs for management options like land acquisition and engineering structures as flyovers or ‘elephant underpass’.
