Soon her ultraviolet ghost is following him, and he's forced deep into Skysill Beach, ever closer to his buried family tragedy, to uncover her secrets.
The story pivots on a single discovery Asher makes as he goes: that no one should see ghosts, because humans no longer have ghosts. Millennia ago, unknown hands cut our ghosts away. Now those hands have returned, and taken up the blade again. And Asher's the only one who sees...
